Re: 7R2-h, i, j Business Improvement Districts residential tax surcharge billings Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr. requested that the Tax Assessor’s office provide a list of residential properties that were within the City’s various Business Improvements District that were erroneously billed additional tax surcharges in 2023. In addition, provide an explanation as to how the error occurred and the safeguards implemented to prevent future occurrences. Also, please provide a listing of residential properties listed in each business improvement district.

Re: 8-I L&M Developers Newark development projects Council Member Carlos M. Gonzalez requested further information on development projects by L&M Developers in the City of Newark, including the number of projects completed, the number of tax-abated projects, the total number of units under their management and control, and outstanding balances due on any tax abated properties.

Re: 7R2-k Status report of the twenty-seven (27) properties reverted to Invest Newark in 2023 The Municipal Council held discussions regarding Invest Newark and the status of properties previously conveyed to Invest Newark. In this regard, Councilman Patrick O. Council requested a report providing as update on the twenty-seven (27) properties converted to Invest Newark in 2023.
