Resolution further amending Resolution No. 840 of 2019, effective December 23, 2019, as amended, entitled “Resolution adopting and approving the 2020 Capital Budget and the 2020 Community Development Block Grant Program, and the 2020 through 2025 Capital Improvement Program,” so as to identify specific projects in City Council District 6 and authorize a subsequent Agreement or Agreements for operation/administrative expenses, maintenance, purchase of equipment, and/or rehabilitation of neighborhood facilities on behalf of the residents of the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Horace Lee Turner was born on September 23rd, 1921 in Mobile, Alabama. When he was 6 or 7 years old, his family moved to Pittsburgh’s Hill District where he attended Mill School and Fifth Avenue High School; and,

WHEREAS, born in 1982 and raised in Hazelwood and Greenfield, Christopher Ribarchak attended St. Steven’s Elementary School and Brashear High School and was the General Manager of the Franklin Inn Restaurant for many years; and,

WHEREAS, among cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, where more than 52,000 people die of it each year. Although March is National colon cancer month, the Coffey family believes prevention and awareness should not be restricted to one month; and,

Resolution authorizing the issuance of a warrant in favor of Francisco J. Muniain, c/o his attorney, Matthew S. Marquette, 4773 William Flynn Highway, Allison Park, PA 15101, in the amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) relating to the full and final settlement of a case filed in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas at A.R. 20-003025. Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Finance to enter into a Donation and Professional Services Agreement or Agreements with Pittsburgh Land Bank and GRB Law to document the donation of legal services relating to the performance of designated quiet title actions on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh; and further, pursuant to Chapter 210 of the City Code (“Acceptance of Gifts to City”) accepting the donation by Pittsburgh Land Bank of such legal services to be performed by GRB Law on behalf of the City.

Resolution amending Resolution No. 548 of 2019 which amended Resolution No. 801 of 2017 which authorized the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance to enter into an Agreement, Agreements or Amendments with Amcom for the lease of the Multi-Function Devices and the Managed Print Services for a sum not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars $375,000 per year for 5 years, by increasing the not to exceed amount to Two Million Five Hundred Eight Five Thousand Dollars (2,585,000).

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance to enter into an agreement or agreements with Google for their Assured Workload program to securely store sensitive data in Google Cloud Platform according to federal data standards to be in compliance with U.S. Department of Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS)

Resolution amending resolution No. 216 of 2020 entitled “Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of City Planning to apply for grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program to provide funding for the master planning process of Fowler Park” to add language to allow the City of Pittsburgh to accept the grant award and spend the Funds.

WHEREAS, Lynne Hayes-Freeland, a native Pittsburgher, first African American woman to host a weekday radio show on KDKA Radio, and longest running KDKA-TV broadcaster, will be retiring after 45 years in the broadcasting industry; and,

WHEREAS, born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Jan Glick moved to Pittsburgh in 1970 to finish college at Duquesne University with a degree in Special Education and went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling also at Duquesne University and then taught school for 5 years; and,
