A motion requesting that the National Democratic Committee, the State Democratic Committee and the Essex County Democratic Committee, issue a public censure of former East Ward Democratic Chairman, Joseph Parlavecchio, for his racist remarks directed towards the African-American and Hispanic Communities, which were publicly exposed during the corruption trial of former Newark Deputy Mayor Ronald Saluhuddin, which was held in September, 2011.
