A motion requesting that the Essex County Sherriff’s Office, the Newark Police Department and the Bloomfield Avenue/Lower Broadway Business Improvement District security officers, strictly enforce and deter the hazardous double-parking and idling taking place on Bloomfield Avenue near lower Broadway during the rush hours; furthermore, requesting that the Department of Engineering, Division of Code Enforcement begin an aggressive enforcement against businesses that fail to properly maintain their premises, including the removal of graffiti from their storefronts in the Bloomfield Avenue, lower Broadway Business Improvement District.
