Emergency Contract: E2022-01 Entity: Salvation Army/Newark Westside Amount: $61,240.00 Term: February 1, 2022 to May 2, 2022 Funding Source: 051-G21-APR70-71280 Purpose: This emergency is pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6 and N.J.A.C 5:34-6.1, notwithstanding a good faith effort by the contracting unit, the need has arisen in the Department of Health and Community Wellness, as declared by Director Mark J. Wade. Currently the CDC guidelines require isolation and/or quarantine for those diagnosed or presumed to have COVID. The need to provide essentials to those individuals isolated and/or quarantined is necessary to protect the City of Newark from unnecessary exposure and therefore limiting the movement of the aforementioned individuals for the health, safety and welfare of the City of Newark residents.
