Re: Civil Service guidelines on the hiring of Police Officers outside of Civil Service list. Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr. directed this office to request the Administration to provide to the Governing Body, through this office, the written guidelines by the Civil Service office that allow municipalities to bypass current Civil Service lists and hire police officers from the municipalities. In addition, Councilman Ramos requested the Administration provide its policy on the hiring of officers not on the Civil Service list.
